These Terms govern use of the Semper Android application and any optional cloud sync backend operated with it. By signing in or using cloud features, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the cloud features; offline analysis may still be available depending on your build.
Semper performs digital image correlation / related analysis on the device. Optional cloud features provide identity, metadata storage (Firestore), artifact storage (Google Drive Shared Drive), sync, restore, and admin access control. There is no generative AI / LLM feature in this product.
You may not: attempt to bypass authentication or attestation; abuse rate limits or quotas; upload unlawful content; interfere with other users; reverse-engineer the service except where mandatory law allows; or use the service to process data you are not authorized to handle.
You retain rights to analysis data you create. By syncing, you grant the operator a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide sync, restore, support, and security. Cloud quotas and file-size limits apply.
Personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Export and deletion capabilities and their limits are part of that policy.
The service is provided “as is”. Offline-first design means core measurement work can continue when cloud is unavailable; sync may be delayed. We do not warrant uninterrupted cloud availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability for cloud features is limited to direct damages not exceeding fees paid (if any) for the service in the prior three months — or zero if the service is provided without charge.
Results are tools for engineering/research workflows. You are responsible for validation, calibration, and decisions made from outputs.
You may stop using the app and request account deletion. Operators may suspend or terminate access for breach or risk. Survival: sections on content license (for residual backups), disclaimers, liability limits, and audit retention.
Terms may be updated; continued use after notice constitutes acceptance where permitted. Material changes should appear in release notes or in-app notice.
Support / help from the app settings, or the deployment’s configured support email.
Replace with the deploying organization’s chosen jurisdiction before public distribution. Until then, these Terms are a template for operator review.
